M$ doesnt have to pay the bills bdbdbd they could support Nintendo where they suck ie: online.
Think about it people who like M$ can play Zelda/Mario people who like Ninty can play Gears of War/Halo. Plus Conker,Perfect Dark and Banjo would go back to where there supposed to be. NintyXD
Valkyria, u are alone in wanting this. MS can and will bite, claw and pay off anyone who prevents them from doing one thing, makin the moneys. Video games need passion, creativity and originality, none of these MS has. Why else do they have so much trouble competing in online software dev.

Nintendo has tons of money to invest, and if they don't make a more powerful console is just because they don't want to.
And excuse me, but which tech power Microsoft has, none of these companies (Nintendo or MS) design their own hardware architectures, it is IBM or ATI design, the best thing MS could ever offer to Nintendo is their install base and infrastructure for online gaming.

Install base almost exclusivly in one country, the US. not worried about that.
Online, its full of ferals, but i think Nintendo will copy what they like and leave what they don't.

I dont think people who like Nintendo would want to play GoW or halo, and the same for people who like MS, and if it such a good idea, why did MS didnt offer that to Ninty from the beggining, and instead just went and took one of Nint greates second parties, Rare ??
People are thinking Microsoft Game Studios merging with Nintendo, true, that is bad for Nintendo, but if you mean the entire Microsoft... meaning Windows, Office, Live, etc. That is uber super great for Nintendo and horrible for Microsoft. Who wouldnt want an extra $40 billion cash pile and a 90% installed base on home PC's?
