Forums - Sony - October, I likely get a PSP.

Why all the sudden PSP interest? PSP 300 is barely better than 2000. R and C size matters is also a 7.5 outa 10 game IMO. I have it and its not very fun. Get a PSP! They are really fun and have alot of great games, but why didn't you get the daxter pack last fall?

I'm not a fan of the Naughty Dog series. I am a fan of the R&C series. Your opinion of the game is just your opinion. The Star Ocean remakes were a deal breaker for me (as in if they had stayed in Japan, forget it), and the fact that the bundle and the first game came out in the same month was just a good convergence. I would get the system with a game I wanted (I would have just gotten it on the PS2 otherwise), plus an RPG I wanted. That's what I'm waiting for.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I think R&C currently retails for about $15 (Greatest Hits). Unless you want a silver PSP, it's a great bundle (plus the 1GB memory), but hardly a "crazy" value.

I'm probably buying the 4GB bundle since I was planning on buying a 4GB memory stick anyway and I prefer the black casing. 4GB sticks are only about $25-30, but Everyday Shooter on the PSP would be nice to have.

Already in the process of picking up PSP games (portable ops, ops +, killzone, etc.) in preparation.

Good timing though. I was ready to buy a 2000 PSP this week.

We don't know how much the memory stick will be for the upcoming bundle. Plus it's not just R&C, it's the Star Ocean remake.

The 4GB bundle is the same price; $199 w/ Everyday Shooter.

Is Star Ocean a PSN download, or are they publishing it on UMD?

Doesn't say anything about Star Ocean. At least not in NA.

"... this new PSP will also be introduced with the previously announced Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters PSP bundle on October 14. This will feature a special Mystic Silver PSP, "National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets" UMD movie, 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and a PlayStation Network voucher for echochrome. In addition, Sony is preparing another bundle - the 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack - that will feature the update PSP, a 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and a PlayStation Network voucher to download Everyday Shooter.

Both bundles will hold the retail price tag of $199.99, and if you don't already have one, you have few excuses left. This fall, Sony is going to make their snazzy handheld a great deal more attractive!"

It's gonna cost $200? Never mind. I'd rather just get a system by itself, R&C, and a Memory stick of my own choice, for that price. But I'm still waiting until October.

You can get 8gb sticks for $55 these days. I just ordered one in fact. Lord, sounds like you might like Crisis Core or Monster Hunter.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Not sure about Crisis Core. And I don't want to spend that much for a memory card, when I really don't plan on using it that much.

What's new about PSP 3k? I don't get the add on features.

Mainly better display; brighter, better contrast, glare reduction. Mic addition, presumably for Skype phone functions, voice recording, etc.

Wouldn't be surprised if power management was slightly improved.

Probably harder to crack, but give it time.
