Forums - Microsoft - Netflix deal and Live Primetime what do you think?

LEt me start by saying I won a 360 and bought it to play GAMES!  I will give them some credit the netflix deal seems pretty interesting being able to download any netflix movie is pretty cool.  The Live Primetime is an appeal to the casual gamer so its a nice idea not my cup of tea though.

What do you think?

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Around the Network

I've had NetFlix for awhile now and I've watched a handful of movies that are available for streaming. The quality on most of the movies is very good but the problem is that the amount of movies that are available. Most of the movies are old and you never see any top tier new releases. But what is available for the older movies is very good. I think a lot of people are under the conception that you can watch anything. This is not the case. At least not right now.

Personally I think this is a great addition for 360 because it will bring these streaming movies right to my TV instead of watching it on my computer.

Is the netflix deal just for the USA or is Europe getting it as well.

What is live primetime?

I'm skeptical of Live Primetime, but it has potential. The Netflix deal however is full of awesome. Brilliant move by MS. I think there's something like 8 million Netflix subscribers. All of them now have a good reason to get a 360 if they don't already have one.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
