After 1 month, I am back, finally off of a ridiculous ban.

I was banned for posting my thoughts on lesbians/gays, while I admit my post was straight forward and not very considerate of others, I was banned without warning. No attempt was made to get me to edit the post or remove the post. In fact the post remained even after I was banned. (Note: I was banned by a very new moderator)

Being banned without warning was not the only annoyance, after being banned I sent several emails to the various addresses provided on the sire. Not a single one was replied to, I repeat not a single one was replied to. This was overwhelmingly upsetting. No replies at all, no "Sorry the ban will not be removed", no negiotiating it down, I was simply ignored.

My points is this, I believe the mods on this site are out of control, rude, and lazy, and should either be punished themselves or replaced for being so relaxed on some posts, and so strict on others.

I was banned for 3 months without any warning once, good times.

The ban didn't even conform to the regular ban length at that time, it was purely based on someones emotion, they overreacted because I made a joke post about them. I had not even been banned or warned before.

I just left the site and came back 4 months later, sorry to see you had such issues with your ban. I'm sure there is an explanation for it somewhere. I do agree though, sometimes the modding can be a little iffy.

see you probably posted that post in the unprotected thread. My thread on the exact same subject was protected from general mod banning because i made it so.

Sorry it happens, things happen, its done, deal with it, move on.

I also think a warning system should be in place. I mean I was banned for rule that isint even in the forum rules and that is broken so often I thought that it was allowed.

Oh well now I know.

Seriously though, sorry to hear you slipped through the cracks. Just so you all know, strict rules for ban lengths are being put in place. Hopefully this won't happen to longtime users anymore. With that said, let's not go on a mod-bashing fest here, okay?

Sorry I missed your complaint, I get a lot of emails in the mod mail and if I haven't responded to yours you are allowed to create a second account JUST to message me. That said, this again isn't the appropriate way to complain.

Also, we normally require warnings to be given out first, but considering the awfulness of the comment "Being gay is just wrong, and all gays/lesbians should die." it's within reasonable limits to give you an extensive ban. It probably should have been more like 7-14 days, but if you do it again believe me it will be quite long.

To be fair, he might have been refering to gay/lesbian half-breeds.  You know, hermaphrodite on hermaphrodited sex.
