Forums - Gaming - Do you think there will be alot of suing because of Guitar Hero World Tour?

I do not think the suing will be from Harmonix(who makes rock band) but i was thinking about GHTunes. For those who do not know what GHTunes is, it is a place on GH: World Tour where people can make songs and publish them on Guitar Hero for others to use. This is a huge problem because almost all those songs will be unlicensed songs. If you don't know alot about how that works, Guitar Hero has to pay for music licenses for each song they put on their game which costs alot of money. So when people who buy the game make songs that are the exact as another song( ex. Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc.) alot of lawyers are going to head over to Neversoft

If a profit isn't being made off of these songs, than it shouldn't be a problem.

They don't allow you to put vocals in for this reason they said. Without somebody recording "vocals" and really just playing the actual mp3, all the songs are just bad covers. And there shouldn't be any worries about being sued over that.

^ok, that will probably solve the issue. Thanks

if i write a midi of a song and put it on the internet, there is no problem

that's essentially what this is

Here's a video from my band's last show Check out more (bigger) videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/icemanout
