Forums - Microsoft - Horrible new videos from Infinite Undiscovery...

This game looks good. Combat system looks great (Hopefully framerate choppiness disappears). Not sure about the voices, it sounds like they may become very repetitive (Like so many other JRPGs are) so hopefully they can be turned off. Other then that I am looking at a very expensive fall / winter for games.

Tales of Vesperia, Too Human, Mercenaries 2, Viva Pinata 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Rock Band 2, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Warhammer: Battle March, Brothers in Arms, Lego Batman, Warriors Orochi 2, and Legendary are probably my must haves for August and September.

The game looks pretty awesome. Love the combat/battle system. I really don't see any problems with the framerate. Looks fine to me. The voices are bad. It would get pretty annoying hearing your characters shouting the name of the attack. This game is the reason why I'm getting a 360. Don't want to miss it.

I don't really like when they rush the game and leave things like framerate issues still present. Mass Effect 360 version was one big mess for technical issues. Reviewers tend to factor framerate issues more on jRPGs in the score than Western games, but that's just a fact of life.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Western reviewers are just very biased against JRPGs partically because JRPGs are made more with the Japanese in mind.  Mass Effect got away with technical issues because it was one of those games that get high scores purely due to hype.  Most JRPGs don't get that much hype.  Also, there are rumors that reviewers don't even complete some of the games i.e Lost Odyssey

I didn't see too much slowdown on the IU video...I replayed a few scenes I thought had frame issues, only to find out the video, or my computer, wasn't processing the video properly.

Even then, I believe Tri Ace has said that the goal is 30FPS at any given point in the game. So with a few weeks of QA and polishing, it's entirely possible to get a little more optimization completed.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I don't know where I'm going to get all the money to buy these new games, looks like I'll be donating blood very soon.
