Forums - Gaming - Disc Cleaning?

I was ready to sit down for my afternoon gaming session with my PS3.  So, I pop in MGS4 and just a black screen comes up.  I say no big deal I will just restart the console.  I tried that, but it still did not work then I took the disc out and wiped it off.  I repeated this process multiple times.  Do you guys know what I could do to get my game to work again?   By the way I put in another game to see if it was the disc or the PS3 and the other game worked just fine so I am pretty sure it is my MGS4 disc.

Wipe it with a damp cloth. You dont have to worry about scratching the disc, Blu-Ray discs could withstand the Death Star

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

If that doesnt work, you will need an old priest and a young priest

You can use a regular CD cleaner. I have and it has not damaged the disc.

@colonelstubbs - Blu-Ray's can withstand a lot but they are not scratch proof. I have seen a few scratch Blu-Ray discs. I was never able to find out what scratched them.

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

Online IDs: PSN: computermaximus, XBL: computermaximus

I am about to try and use a regular cd cleaner. I do not think it is dirty though because when I look at it, its fine.
