Also notice the cellphone game made by Disney and not square enix. If they both owned the game, there probably would have been a dispute. Oh and I don't really think Final Fantasy Characters have a big impact on Kingdom Hearts.

Are you talking about coded?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_Hearts_(series)#Games

Its the Vcast game.

V CAST

A Kingdom Hearts game was developed exclusively for V CAST, Verizon Wireless's broadband service, and was released on October 1, 2004 in Japan and on February 4, 2005 in the United States.[36] It was one of the launch games for the V CAST services.[37] The game, developed by Superscape and published by Disney Mobile with no involvement from Square Enix, features the original Kingdom Hearts's gameplay, modified for the input method of mobile phones.[38]

The first section begins with the protagonist of the original Kingdom Hearts, Sora, shipwrecked on a seemingly uninhabited island, his friends Goofy and Donald missing. Sora must find a way to escape the island, as well as reuniting with Donald and Goofy. Reception of the first playable mission pack was mixed. The game was criticized for its awkward controls and limited availability. The visual appeal was praised; GameSpot stated Sora "is very detailed and well animated" and complimented the 3D environments.[39]

Then why wasn't there a kingdom hearts gamecube game?If disney likes nintendo so much why not a gamecube game?Maybe because at that time square wasn't in good terms with nintendo?Plus square should have something to do with kingdom hearts since it is a collaboration if they weren't then why doesn't disney gives EA or any other company the rights to develop and publish kingdom hearts games why only square enix?

Just because they COULD do something doesn't mean they WILL do it. If you look at most Disney games you see today, most of them are on the DS and WII. Now look at who made the second most profits last quarter, only bested by Nintendo. Now we all know they couldn't have profitted that much on the GC. Also if square is making the games, and they are selling well, why have EA develop it? Actually that wouldn't make sense for a western company to develop a Jrpg in the first place.

Wait are you saying Disney made the second most profit in the games division last quarter?

Is that really right?

There was a chart somewhere showing the number of profits and revenue for software, and Nintendo was at top, Disney second, and then everybody else after. I will look for it.

Maybe because...

1. SE didn't have good relations with Nintendo during the PS2/GC/XBox era
2. The PS2 sold a lot more than the GC

And as for the bolded, why the **** would they give it to EA? Do you even know how KH started?

Straight from Wikipedia:

"The idea for Kingdom Hearts came about when producer Shinji Hashimoto met with a Disney executive in an elevator; Square and Disney had previously worked in the same building in Japan.[45] The production team was composed of over 100 members from both Square and Disney"

Give it to EA? This must be the dumbest statement I've heard from you...seriously lol.

But wait disney owns the IP not square why shouldn't they tell square to shut up and develop it on the gamecube if disney likes nintendo so much?Square should have nothing to do with in which platform kh goes,isn't that what you are trying to say?By replying to my post in that way you are contradicting your previous staments.In addition you should chill buddy why when it always comes to kh you have to become so aggresive saying stuff like **** and cursing is it just me other kingdom hearts going to the wii is the thing you want the most?An lol about about the dumbest statement I already mention in one of my others posts that I could have put any other company it was just an example.

How many times do I have to pwn you?

I think you have to comprehend this: The PS2 sold more than the GC. A lot more. Take it in slowly. Read it very slowly.

....

....

....

...Done?

OK, now read this very slowly: There GC wasn't as family friendly as the Wii. And the PS2 was very family/mainstream. I mean it has a DVD in it.

....

....

....

...Done? Hopefully you comprehended that.

@Million

What sc and I said was "opinion"? We gave you facts and reasons as to why KH3 would make the most sense on the Wii, and the copyrights, etc. straight from sites.

Yup, we did absolutely no credible research, we had no resputable sources, we only had a lot of anecdotes, we spinned it so much, and all our comments were sly remarks. We are such bastards.

Lol pwn me hahahha.If the gamecube wasn't as family friendly system as the wii then why was is it consider a kiddy system?According to waht you say kingdom hearts is for kids so the gamecube was for kids it's the perfect match :D now read this slowly before you start swearing and getting angry..............And yea the ps2 sold more than the gamecube but since kingdom hearts is for kids then why not put it on the gamecube so disney can make more money?

bolded:K then until square enix doesn't announce anything official about a wii kingdom hearts game then most of the things here have no value at all it's all just speculation.

Here is the chart I was speaking of.

All the Nintendo fanboyishness aside the game will go whever they feel makes the most business sence , no where ever your anecdotal , poorly informed opinion hopes it will go.

You can argue all day about what platform you hope it'll apear on , in reality your debate has no effect on rea life. I'm personaly unsure at this point.

Except...us Nintendo fanboys actually take that into account. Disney is the bigger deciding factorm but it's not like we totally discount SE. Besides, does SE have any reason to make another huge HD project?

@ctk

WTF, mate?

First of all, the KH games aren't only on Sony platforms. KH: CoM, 358/2 Days, and Coded say hi. Second, the Wii is goign to have over 50% market share by the end of the year so PS3 + 360 sales aren't necessary when you have one console that is beating the other consoles. Third, who do you SERIOUSLY think Disney characters would appeal to? PS3/360 fans (made up of older teens and adults) or Wii fans (made up of all demographics but has a lot more 9-14 year olds than the PS3 or 360 which are KH's demographic). And the Wii > 360 in NA so I don't see why it'd sell more on the 360 than the Wii in NA.

If Square decides to quit what will Disney do? Make another game like the one you should me?

Why would Square decide to quit when KH is such a big selling series?

@ctk

What are you talking about? The KH target demographic is 9-14 year olds. Why the hell won't you understand?

Second, Mario and Sonic is a second party game, not third party.

Third, of course no third party game on the Wii outsold a game that was also on the PS3 + 360
. Yet the Wii versions sold more than half of both the PS3 and 360 combined. It's not like Guitar Hero where that can appeal to PS3/360 owners easy. This is KH we're talking about.

So is disney hating money?If all the other TP games have sold better on ps3+360  then why wii exclusive?

The Gamecube was considered "Kiddy" because of its design(colorful buttons, lunchbox), and even more so because some games looked very kiddy (windwaker, of course mario). Though realistically most of the GC's userbase is Core Nintendo fans, and the PS2 was the much more mainstream console. So the PS2 was obviously the better choice.

People need to stop making these threads.

First, Disney isn't sellign KH merchandise at Disney World because the time isn't right. They're probably going to make a KH movie, then they'll introduce merchandise to Disne yWorld along with a KH-themed attraction no doubt.

Second, people need to stop arguing about the platform for a game that's not even officially announced. Either way, KH3 is going to the Wii. We all know this. It's only a matter of when they announce it. Until then just argue about something else.

Prove who even say kingdom hearts 3 is going to a certain platform NO ONE apart from some bunch of rumours out there on the internet why not the ds?DQIX is there it would make sense to have it there too as I say before is all speculation.

Lower developement costs means the game would only have to sell half as many, or even less than it would have sold on the PS3 or 360 to make the same amount of profit. So that should be a considering factor as well. Also I beleive that both would sell similarly, but actually think it would sell more on the Wii because of its Mainstream appeal.

The DS is already getting a KH game. If it sells well I could see KH3 being considered for it though, but by then a new handheld will probably be out.

popular and family friendly aren't the same thing people.
