It'd make no financial sense to make a HD version of Monster Hunter Tri3 for just the western market on top of a Wii version. MH just isn't a big enough franchise in the west.

Much more like he's referring to MH2G coming to NA and/or a PSP version of MHT3 for NA would be a port of the Wii version.

Article: As we all know, Monster Hunter 3 was moved from the PS3 to the Wii, to which everyone, even Wii fans, were stunned. This left a sour taste in the mouth of Monster Hunter fans, but it looks like Capcom may be changing its tune.

Could someone clarify that for me? Don't they mean "PS3 fans" instead of "Monster Hunter fans"?

Seriously though, this John D seems like the Sony/PS3 PR blogger for Capcom. I doubt he makes any real decisions. And I doubt Capcom would do MH3 on HD after the big deal of pulling it. It will probably do something else for those consoles though.

I think its 2nd G for PSP if not better be frontier MMO for PC.

This is kind of a non-issue. He said he has a surprise for fans 'in the US'. Since when does that mean 'who own PS3s'? I know a great number of people in the US who don't own PS3s, thank you very much.

I expect a monster hunter for the PS3 in Japan once (or if) the install base in respectable enough.

I try to make it a point never to read articles where the title is in the form of a question, specially when that question already insinuates a point. Just wanted to get that off my chest I guess... however to keep up to date on the latest speculation and stealth troll resources reading such articles becomes an unwanted exercise.

It didn't help that the first sentance had the word "speculate' in it either, Monster Hunter 3 can go anywhere as long as it's not the Xbox360 because I don't own one and due to RROD and CD scratching I have no intention of getting one.

I'm too lazy to deal with the process of fixing it, and the idea of doing it turns me off. Heck I'd probably upgrade my PC to play MH3 the only thing I could want from that game is that it gets localized for the US.
