Forums - Microsoft - Gears 2 Amazon Bundle

Last month, there were rumors of a limited edition of Gears of War 2 that will include a Lancer Assault Rifle, in a move that will follow the steps of the Halo 3 Legendary Edition that featured the Master Chief helmet. The rumor was partially true. There will be such an edition of Gears of War 2 that includes a replica of the Lancer Assault Rifle, but a bundle put together by Amazon.com rather than an official edition created by Microsoft Game Studios.

Available now for pre-order, the Gears of War 2 Amazon.com Exclusive Lancer bundle has a retail price of $139.99 and includes a copy of the Standard Edition of Gears of War 2 (for $10 you can upgrade to the official Limited Edition) plus a Lancer replica which is 36 inches in length and runs on three “C” batteries. Highly detailed and hand painted, the reproduction features a trigger that sets off a motorized chainsaw sound accompanied by physical vibration.

Created by NECA, the same company that brought you the Gears of War action figures, this Lancer Assault Rifle (which shouldn't be confused with the TriForce Lancer replica) was modeled upon the actual 3D data used in the Gears of War 2 videogame. This Lancer replica is also equipped with a removable clip and an adjustable side handle that folds in and out and slides back and forth.

Below you can see pictures of the Lancer and read the complete product description, plus details of the offer:

Looks awesome if you are into that sort of thing.  I am not one to buy special editions though.

I actually bought one. ^_^

Only thing that I don't like is the blood. It would have been better if it was clean.
