Forums - Gaming - What is haze?

I was watching old 1up show episodes, and came across a dialogue that was, in retrospect, hilariously accurate. This was episode 28, which can be seen here:

http://www.1up.com/do/minisite?pager.offset=9&cId=3145462

This is at the 2006 E3. About 11 minutes in, the two journalists wondering around the arena run into the Haze kiosk. Without even seeing the game, they have this discussion:

Girl: "What is Haze?"

Guy: "A futuristic first person shooter."

Girl: "One can only hope. We don't have enough of those."

Guy: "Yeah, with space marines."

Girl: "And it should have lots of browns and greys."

I assume you kindly forgot to mention the hundreds of times Wii minigame collections were laughed at on the 1up show or 1up yours, but the discussion makes a good point. More originality would be welcome...

The browns and greys reference is to Gears definitely.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Oh I didn't forget, that's just not what this post is about. They absolutely do make fun of Wii mini-games, and they deserve to be mocked for their lack or originality, too.

Or does one need to make a complete list of unoriginal titles every time you make fun of a specific one? Nice try, Ck, but that's silly :p

No I mentioned it specifically because you attack these sort of games constantly and make threads about mocking them specifically.

If I made a thread titled what's Mario Party and mocked it I would get a very unpleasant welcome.

I'm admitting, right now, repeatedly (this is the second time in this thread alone), that many of these mini-game titles deserve to be mocked for their lack of originality. So no, you wouldn't get an "unpleasant welcome" if you were to start a thread about how Carnival or Raving Rabbids or what have you is unoriginal. Stop putting up straw man arguments please, Ck.
