Correct. Most people who claim the PSN > Xbox live don't understand (or refuse to) that PSN is playing catch up. It's taken what XBL made workable and perfected and re-using it. Just because XBL did it in 12 months from it being announced (it being any random feature), and a year later the PSN does it in say 3 months from when they announce the feature, it doesn't mean that PSN is better. Also, I think the only really advantage PS3 has over xbox online is: 1) It's free 2) Less people have headset = Less idiots online. Or at least idiots with voices. |
I find having more people with mics is a better thing.
Once you reach level 35 or higher in Halo 3, there will rarely be someone who is being stupid.

That is what you say now, but 3 years from now where will you be? Your relationship will be completely over. Sure you may game together again once in a while but it won't be the same. Those feelings have love will have long since passed. With no new games to talk about, there will only be silence as even her drive remains coldly silent.
Then one day you'll find that she has moved onto her true love the RRoD and shortly thereafter you'll have likewise dumped her for another short lived relationship with some cheap Nextbox fluzzy.
Your love is destined for much pain and strife. Enjoy these few good moments while you have them for they will be over all too soon.
I'd like to see this Nintendo feature implemented in PS3 games:
""For example, with Mario Kart Wii, there's not a high-score list. Instead your ranking is shown on a much more friendly distribution curve so you're not a number. You're not 451,479th best player in the world. You're somewhere in the middle of the bell-shaped curve, maybe a bit better than average, which is important because most players aren't going to number 1 in the world and don't care about that. But they might care about being the second highest rated player amongst their friends or the best player in their zip code.""

Thank you, the people saying that the PSN is only catching up to XBL are forgetting that means that XBL is not moving forward. XBL is 5 years old, PSN is maybe just 2 now? And its nearly equal, and free. It should be nearly impossible for PSN to catch up with XBL, its got years and years of development behind it and years and years of a head start, yet PSN is catching up, and fast.
I agree with the article, PSN is definatly beating XBL in some areas.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:
"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"
"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"
"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Damn those Popycats!
As in go buy us some coffee.

Theres nothing wrong with PSN.
And the claims that XBL is better because it does everything the PSN does but a year earlier...well DUH the 360 came out earlier! Thats like saying the mega drive has better graphics than the 360 because it was doing sprites and stuff 10 years ago!

it doesn't surprise me that Gamespy, the online provider of PSN, says good things about PSN. I can't see Naughty Dog praising 360 instead of PS3 either.
All in all, by failing to name what are those "some areas" that PSN is beating XBOX live, the article doesn't have much strength

what the?
GAMESPY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH PSN.
all they do is supply middleware support for certain online games like gta4. gamespy do not run the ACTUAL psn. infact, gamespay provides middleware support for all online consoles.
i don't understand why people are saying that gamespy are the providers of psn.

Or this game is so fun over the internet which works great and we have no problems hooking up with our friends and no lag/disconnecting. No we are stuck with a quarter of the review talking about the PS3 or 360 having 5 more polygons than the other or it took 10 seconds to load vs the others 7 seconds. Quite comparing and just talk about the actual game. Sure if there is some huge flaw that makes it really hard to even enjoy. And I mean really enjoy vs just super nitpicking then point that out in a quick sentence. But seriously this is getting annoying. |
Yeah, this is annoying. I've only just recently gotten back into the console side of gaming, and the fanboy console war stuff is more ridiculous than it has ever been. This is probably the most balanced generation of consoles we have ever had, so people really grab at straws sometimes to find something to fight about.
There are just certain people you have to weed out. Usually if someone can't spell very simple english words, use punctuation, or make sure caps lock is off before they post, you can just assume that their opinion is probably very out of touch with the way things really are.
