We're always used to discussing America and it's wars...Now there's another conflict to shift attention too!
At any serious rate, what is everyone's opinion on the recent building of tensions, which has culminated into something that looks like it could become become a war? Georgia is already attacking positions in South Ossetia, and has claimed that they've liberated it.
Russia, on the other hand, has attacked Georgian positions, and was pretty much unprovoked as far as my understanding is.
From what I can surmise, the Russians want an excuse to try to re-annex Georgia, or atleast help the rebels (which are more Russian-friendly) try to take power.
What's everyone's opinion? Atleast from me, it would seem Russia is trying to bully it's former sattelites into re-aligning with their bloc like they've done since the USSR split up.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
