I could say the same about the PS3 (even though you can't really say it's failing this early in the game.)  It's incredible hardware and so far the games have been really well done in my opinion.  You may disagree on the games and the price, but you can't deny the harware is top notch.

The dreamcast is the result of Segas falling out with the public, their overall suckage, and the fact Sony didn't suck. Amazing console but Sega didn't handle it well.

I dont stated anything agaisnt PS3,
i was just remembering the PS2 story : a lot of people, that were PS owners, bought the PS2 console BEFORE the good game were released. At the opposite the Dreamcast sales were bad even with great games cause PS owners just ignored her, they were all focusing on Sony.

I just say that NOW people are not doing the same thing.
Some are buying PS3
Others Xbox360 (dreamcast like lol)
and more others are buying the innovating Wii !!!

Like u, I think that is too early to make a final answer, but, just considering market sharing all over the world, or even the consoles sales rate,
PS3 is not over-dominating the market like was doing the PS2
(In the past all the PS1 gamers wanted a PS2, right now, some PS2 gamers dont want to buy a PS3)
