And yet, it's your fault for pirating games. You should just have to do without since your country and gaming companies combine to screw you royally in the ass and mouth. Twesterm what say you to these kids from the other countries that get these kinds of prices handed to them?

So you're arguing that this guy's random birth location means he can never play video games?

He was born into an unfair situation and it's his job as a human being to fight his way out, and if he steals some entertainment, why do you care?

He is not hurting the developer's wallets.  For him it's either steal or never play.

Game reviewers never pay for games, and yet they play a part in advertising and helping other people make decisions.  What's the difference between being a game reviewer or a pirate?  Either one of them gets games for free and then tells all their friends which ones are good, and I'd even argue that pirates help good games more than reviewers do.  HOOHAH.

Re-read my post. I'm taking his side.

Hahaha.

Well.... I'm drunk.

I dunno what's up with the pirating threads lately.

In light of digital distribution, it's getting cheaper to distribute games (what is the cost of the electricity it takes to transfer a game?). Valve let's you know this by games on steam usually being cheaper.

I have no problem being a pirate. I'm not convinced my actions are detrimental. When I do buy digital media, it is because I want to give the creator of that digital media money as a reimbursement for the enjoyment they transferred to me (or I am confident that I am going to get). It makes me an informed consumer so that I don't have to buy things that I don't enjoy. If that is piracy, and if that is wrong, then I will gladly fight the system and accept the consequences.

Lol... The thread screams of "Conscience."

I hope you're clean.

OT:I confess on some hard to find PS1 games I downloaded. :C

You didn't shut off the internet! You're still on!

BTW don't you live in California which would make it before 7 PM your time? What the hell are doing, mid day cocktailing?

I used to love pirating until the RIAA said "Give us a bunch of money or we'll sue you for a bunch of money."

I still pirate once in awhile, but I also buy what I would've bought if I hadn't pirated it. The only games I download are games for discontinued consoles or games I've owned in the past. Sometimes I'll download a PC game I hadn't planned on purchasing.

I look at it as insurance. I'm going to make sure it's a quality product before I support anyone with my dollar.

I actually never buy Music and I don't feel guilty about it either.

just watch "Cribs" on MTV and you wont either.

And why do all rich artists have the same bad taste? All homes in Cribs looks like shit, they look like bragfests designed by their grandmas.

Beware, I live!

At least 62 million Wii sold by the end of 09 or my mario avatar will get sad

I had a final due at noon via e-mail.  And then I made myself a Bloody Mary in the blender.  I put in a whole mess of vodka.  Then I realized I barely had any tomatoes, so I ended up with one small insanely strong drink, but oh man it was full of garlic, salt, pepper, hot sauce, lemon juice, lime juice, and a tiny bit of blended celery.  So delicious.

I thought I was gonna pass out, but I ended up on the internet.

Thanks for the support, Onyxmeth and The Ghost of RubangB. And, like I said before on this thread, I do plan on buying a PS3 (where I can´t be a pirate) and buy (possibly rent) real games.

So I go from being a pirate to someone that pays for his games, and if I hadn´t been a pirate I never would´ve been a gamer past the SNES era.

P.S. - Something that still sucks is that the place that I can rent PS3 games still has a pretty poor selection of a games or gets games months and months after it comes out.

I think stealing from individuals is evil and stealing from corporations deserves somewhere between a slap on the wrist and a congratulations, depending on which corporation it was.

If you steal some ones and zeroes over the internet from multimedia conglomerates, I don't care.

If you steal a car or a laptop, eat shit and die.

If you steal a $100 pair of Nikes, fuck yes, you're a hero. That money wasn't going to the starving slaves in Indonesia anyway.

Corporations don't have morals or even bodies. Their job is to take as much money from us as possible. Our job is to give them as little money as possible, if any at all. If they're not going to be held to the same standards as individuals are, then they shouldn't get the same moral high ground when they're being robbed blind. Fuck 'em.

I am actually a corporation... and you've hurt my feelings.
