I almost sweared I would never buy a Microsoft console but I did. I really hate Microsoft as a corporation but I have to admit that with the Xbox, they are playing it well. They are buying most of the good rpgs from the Japanese companies.
What drove my purchase is 2 things: Tales of Vesperia and Final Fantasy XIII. I never really wanted a PS3 but now that most good RPGs are either exclusive to Xbox360 or multiplatform, I don't see the need of ever getting a PS3. It's a bit ironic because last generation I only had a PS2. Now, I have a Xbox and a Wii. I still prefer the Wiimote and will most likely get the multiplatform titles for the Wii but there's so much things I would miss by going with Wii alone.
I would like to know for all of you that purchased a 360 instead of PS3, why did you do so? Do you feel that a 360 owner has any reason to buy a PS3?

better game deals, and so far, better games. The near future, from now to the end of '09, still makes the 360s upcoming library, exclusive and non, look fantastic. Not putting down the PS3 in any way.
If you decide to get XBL, post your gamertag :)
Another thing...you got over a prejudice against a company because you saw that while the company is less then perfect, they're products are great. I respect that very much.

I hate Microsoft because I use Windows (Vista and XP) constantly and I have so many problems with it. I think a lot of their softwares could have more work put to them before being released. They need more competition. If there was an OS competing with Windows, things would be so much better because they would need to use their profit to fund the development of their OS rather then making Bill Gates the richest man of earth.
However, in the console business, Microsoft are completely different.

I used to not like Xbox (the first one), It was a big fat ugly black box with a green X on it. I decided to buy one, do to the fact that it had a nice HD output. This wasn't till 3 years later after it came out. I became a graphics whore after that.
Xbox Live back then was ok, but I could have lived without it. Xbox Live on 360 is way way better. It's so user friendly and informative.
360 has impressed me since day one, all aspects of it.
