Forums - Microsoft - Charge kit question.

This is really weird.  If I'm charging my controller as I play a game, and then turn the 360 off before the controller is totally charged, it's supposed to keep charging it until the battery is full, right?  Well, when I turn my 360 off it only charges it for a minute or two and then shuts off.  After that, the next time I power up, it shows the controller as being full, even though I know full well that it's not.  The green light goes on the charge kit and everything.

In other words, if I turn anything off or disconnect my controller before it's fully charged, it seems to think that it's fully charged anyway the next time I plug it in.  The only way for me to fully charge my controller and be completely sure it's got 100% charge is to plug it into my PC and not turn the PC off until it's done.

Do you guys have the same thing happen?  I wonder if I have a bad battery pack or something.

Same thing happens for me. I just don't understand why. I have another problem though: I have a black 360 controller, and my brother has a white one. We've bought the Black Play & Charge kit and we only bought a white battery pack for the other controller. The problem is, everytime we try to charge the white controller with the cable, it just doesn't seem to work at all. It stays green forever... So we just keep it plugged all the time. It's sad, I guess...

Yeah, I don't get it. I don't mind plugging it into the PC to charge it. It usually lasts me a week to a week and a half on one charge depending on how much I play, but I wish that after a long session I could just turn the 360 off and know that it will finish charging the controller overnight. Maybe it's something I don't have set right on my console or something. I don't get it.

Trust me, I've checked everywhere. The only option I've found that kept the console ''on'' after you turn it off was the finish downloads stuff... But after that, it's not staying on for too long!
