now i know there have been alot of threads like this but i decided to make my own.

i currently have 600 dollars. i want to get a 360 or a ps3. i dont have a job so i wont get any money until christmas. i intend to spend all/most of the money on the console. if i got a 360 i would want to get live to play with my cousin. most of the games i want to get are multi-platform games. they are nhl 09, cod4/5, fifa 09 and and the rest im unsure.i would only get a few games at first then more at christmas. if i got a 360 i would get the elite. of i got the ps3 i would get the 40 gig. if i got a ps3 i would want backward compatability with ps1 and 2 games (if thats possible.)

so my question is if you were in my position which console would you get, why? and which exclusives would you want for your console?

EDIT: i would also be VERY interested to get a netflix membership and watch it over my 360 and i would also be VERY interested in getting a blu-ray player so i can have it in the future.

Theres alot of fanboyism around here, and you may be best to get a second opinion.

Ps3 it has free online play.

if i were in the market for a new HD console i'd pick the 360 again.

more games now (not some promise of potential someday)
i think the netflix deal is much much better than blu ray
and the 360 is cheaper meaning you get to spend more of your money on games.

...and i'm very partial to fable2.

wait till the 360 arcade drops to $199 in september and get both


360- $199+ps3 $400= $599

I would get a PS3 since you can watch blu ray.

get a hooker instead and then a job.

Think u should get the one u like and the console that has the games which applies to u , also u can look which one ur friends has.
