How do you win Europe? What do they like? Soccor?

I kinda figured the europeans liked pretty much the same games that Americans like except switch out Football and replace it with Soccor.

well lets start of by saying you cant spell, and its not called soccer its called football in europe

I'm in the UK and i still can't believe americans prefer the 360 over the ps3 even though it only has a $50 price advantage.

At least in Europe it sells because it is almost half the price of the ps3 (or $240 less to put it in perspective)

Well thanks for being called stupid by some ppl in this tread cause we are from Europe. I could just as well call the american people that then, since they buy Faulty hardware from a monopolistic company, but i wont ;)

But I can explain why ppl at least in The Netherlands prefer the PS3 over the Xbox360.

First there is the name reconition, everyone loved the PS2.

But here was A LOT of news about the RROD with the xbox wich hurt microsoft a lot. Here people when they spend a lot of money on a product they want it to work good. (Even though the new xbox's seem to have less problems with overheating, people dont know that, they only know "That dying xbox keeps breaking")

The PS3 on the other hand does have blu-ray. People that I know are adopting that new format as well. Lots of people like the difference between bluray and regular DVD.

And also i hear people about the game libary from the xbox, they indeed have a much bigger libary then the PS3. Does it matter a lot.. Not really.
They want GT5 ,Fifa, PES, GTA and other games
Some of those are also on the XBOX.

Also i think that the people are more aware that the pricedifference is justified.
Cause you get a lot more but also for more money for a device they know that barely ever breaks. Including the blu-ray, WIFI, cardreader, free online etc etc.

Even though i think personally that Microsoft did a great thing with the 360, compared to the old xbox, they got a lot exclusives, great libary etc etc

My vote still goes to the PS3. Also cause their exclusive games are more interesting for me. Even though i have been tempted by some of the 360 exclusive JRPG's to get the 360 also.
(not counting the WII, cause everyone loves that machine, cause the WII is a lot of fun with a group of people)

The 360 has Halo.  It's simple.

Xbox 360 will never win Europe because of one major reason: Europe is PC Land, and Xbox 360 is viewed as a dumbed-down PC clone.

"Why buy a Xbox 360 when PC is much better, has free online and has much more quality games (and cheaper too)?"

Well ,the PS3 has outsold the 360 for all the year in US  as long as we know.

It's just not going to happen, ps3 has to much steam in EU way more then the 360, and if im correct PS3 is beating 360 monthly, Microsoft can invest all the money they want. it's really not going to make a difference..
