Ugh, this thread is full of forum warrior crap.

As Soriku correctly pointed out, it wasn't SE that predicted a "megaton," it was a 1up editor who is notorious for his favoritism for Sony consoles. It's practically an internet meme. This alone should end the conversation.

But if you insist that we continue talking, Square Enix revealed FF XIII Agito and Parasite Eve 3 for the PSP. They revealed an FF XIII demo for the PS3 (and not for the 360). They restated that FF XIII Vs is PS3 exclusive. Despite being a SE event, practically everything presented that day was about Sony consoles. There was virtually no new news for 360, Wii, or DS games. But because there wasn't a single, monolithic megaton announcement, it's all crap.

This harkens to a specific subset of players, who only care about the 2-3% of the biggest, most epic games: if you aren't a main series game in the Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, God of War, or Grand Theft Auto franchises, then you're not important. All other announcements are crap and meaningless. Who cares about Soul Eater for Wii? Agito for PSP? Snoopy for DS? These are all irrelevant. All that matters is Final Fantasy XIII.

For those with that mind set, then yes, the announcements did not live up to snuff.

This is so true!

As a real Final Fantasy Fanboy, I can tell you that a demo is quite a big deal indeed.

In fact, I think they are stupid for putting it in with FFVII:AC because I would have bought that anyway. I buy games just to play FF-Demos.

They should have put a non-FF-demo with AC so that FF fanboys would try a new game and included the FFXIII-demo with some other games to get us to buy that.

It worked with Brave Fencer Musashi, it worked with Tobal No. 1.
It worked with Crackdown for Halo.
It always works.

Those who are disappointed in an FF demo, are not Final Fantasy Fanboys but are instead, Console Fanboys upset because they don't "get it".

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

lol "swing the ball sony's way" with a demo

==> or with a PSP game ... PSP = Sony :

parasite eve

Fuck that shit, now tell with all honesty, would you not have loved if it were a PS3 game, rather than a crap hand held game?

PSP is a lot more popular then PS3...

Hey, Advent Children wasn't that bad. I liked the ending.

I'm guessing this will be in Blu-Ray now?

the movie was terrible, but it has some great things, such as the graphics for it's time as well as some of the bettle scene, but apart form that it was about some gay emo fags wanting their mummy.

Anyways, that's just my opinion.

"gay emo fags" nice... also redundent.

Are you applying that to the 360users or ps3users?

This time. Both.  Sony Fanboys because they are upset it wasn't some big exclusive.  Xbox Fanboys because they think that not getting the demo is just awful.  Heck, I'll even throw in Nintendo fanboys, too... I'll think of something.

But the point is Final Fantasy fanboys get excited at getting a demo for several reasons.

1. It means the game is really going to come out sometime.

2. In game screen shots and hands-on impressions.

3. They might even get the chance to play it.

4. If they have time to do a demo, then progress must be coming along swimmingly.

How about Nintendo fanboys being pissed because Sony fans get anything after SE did Nintendo the same way and got nothing until they made succesful systems again?

I bet that's buggin some crazy fanboys.
