SE is really handheld focused, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Also I don't think they OWE anything to anybody. FFXIII is their game and I don't see what the problem is when other people play it. As long as you get to play the game on your console of choice I don't see what the problem is. I am fairly happy with what was announced/showned at SE Party, and TGS should be better. *crosses fingers for some DQIX info, and FFVI remake* Oh and the guy who mentioned sony getting this ball isn't even from SE. |
the problem is multiplatform games often sucks ass and feels half baked. I havent enjoyed one single multiplatform game this gen. If the 360 got ff13 exclusive i wouldnt feel so pissed since i would be able to enjoy it on my 360 instead.
Their big announcement was to cancel the simutaneous release date for the Xbox 360 and release FFXIII on the PS3 in NA for Spring 2010 and the Xbox 360 for winter 2010 but they thought it was too early to announce that so they will tell you guys next year. buhaha!
Nope i was kidding, it was just the FFXIII demo on FFVIIACC bluray DVD with FFXIII VERSUS and FFXIII AGITO trailers coming in March 2009 in Japan and exclusively first on the PS3.

I don't see why they would when developement on the 360 version won't start until after the PS3 version is done. So they are basically developing the same game that they started out with, but going to port it over to the 360 AFTER the game is done.
Versus still exclusive to PS3 and I have a feeling it will stay that way.

You still have that kind of feeling after FFXIII?
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

oh square enixs words doesnt mean shit anymore. They still have to design the game for two platforms, meaning you cant use the strengths from either of the consoles. So even if it gets portet after the game is done it would still be developed for multiplatform.

Then wouldn't the console getting the ported version suffer? If the game is going to originally be developed for the PS3 then it uses the PS3s benefits. Then when ported to the 360 they will have to make it suit the 360 better. SO the main developement platform gets the better version, unless the port turns out well.
