I am just glad nintendo doesn't get involved in this kinda crazyness... MS is like the new york yankess of the video game industry if this is true.

| Zacklus said: I hate to admit it,but if both those games went multiplatform,SONY is screwed.SONY really has to open their wallet and keep these games exclusive.I can really see MS actually paying that kind of money.SONY has to put away it's Japanese pride and pay for these must have exclusives.MS can't beat SONY like men,so now they will just pay to get their main competition out of the way. |
I think Sony should pay too, but I don't think they are doomed if the games go multiplatform. In Japan if the same exact FF game came out for both 360 and PS3, people will still buy PS3s over 360s even if it was cheaper to get the 360 because they expect more of their kinds of games to appear on the PS3... It's a matter of perceptions.
Where this will hurt most is in the US and Europe, not in Japan. Still not doom if they lose 'em though. Especially if they lose 'em in the form of a timed exclusive which is still a better deal than day 1 on both platforms which I really think is not gonna happen with either at all.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
Does MS even have to -pay- for exclusives?
Square and Konami would have to be ABSOLUTE morons to keep their games exclusive on the PS3. The machine has a small install base and their games were super expensive to produce. Sony needs to pay -them- to keep their games console exclusive. Not MS.
But hey, if they want to blow money for some weird/odd reason-- go for it. These developers that trash-talk the Wii-- they will eventually have to develop for the machine. Unless they want to lose their job.
ramberk,
erf,
maybe Sony has already pay them to devellope on their PS3 ?
The question is "what happens if Microsoft pay too" ?
Time to Work !

Cause games on the 360 are cheap to make right?
Also, there is yet one major 3rd party game franchise to make the move to Wii. These guys will bring their secondary games to Wii.
They'll make games for both types: 360/PS3 and Wii.
Another arrogant Wii fan that has the success of the Wii going to his head by proclaiming doom on the game makers who don't embrace the Wii over the PS3/360. This is getting really old...

Hrmmm... Sony doesn't decide wether game exclusive or not so MGS4 is still up in air speculatively, not that they would confirm a port at this time anyway. Only time tell.
FFXIII, I don't think anyone expect it to go to 360 whether it can or cant.
End of 2007 Predictions:
Wii =18m
360=14m
PS3=7m
DS=64m
PSP=30m
Interesting spending war they seem to be getting themselves into. Now if there is some kind of bus or train at some major 360 event that has a sign that says something like 'Playstation loves you' to counter Microsoft's anti-Sony marketing, that'd be funny as hell.
Sit back an relax, this is going to get interesting.
Glad Nintendo is on high road this gen, ouch to both Sony and MS.
