it didnt really seem like anything special... is this game based on something?  company done other games?  what is it about this game that has so many people excited?

I guess you never played anything that looks like a Beat 'Em Up before? It looks like those good 'ol Konami games, like the TMNT ones and stuff, but with lots of weapons to choose from.

By the way, the developer, The Behemoth, created Alien Hominid (which means expect the game to be good).

I just went and watched some videos for the game and i don't remember old beat'em ups looking or playing like what i saw.

eh looks good only if you have 3 friends who come over and play with ya

you scroll sideways killing people ...sounds like a decent description of that sort of game.    i think you were looking at the wrong game.
