To correct myself, Death Note by far until the episode where L dies. After that i didn't really like it, i felt that they kinda dragged it too much.

let me know if it gets better after the 2nd or third episode...I couln't get into it and I'm a huge maegaten game fan.

I haven´t read every single post, so I don´t if anyone has mentioned it already.

I watched a lot as a kid, it was a craze here in Brazil. It´s called Knights of the Zodiac (here in the USA, it was called Saint Seyia)

I also liked Yu Yu Hakusho, Akira, Dragonball Z and Evangelion

There was also a program that would air each week a different anime (usually a movie not series), I would watch it every week. It was awesome. Sometimes I think about looking up new animes.

Can anyone name just a couple of really good ones? I don´t want too much options, I´ll feel overwhelmed.

Naruto, One Piece would be great If you have not much to do (there over 250 episodes.) add Bleach as well, many people enjoy the serie, although it had very good moments it has to move a little bit faster imo. Still watch every week though.

SoulEater is a nice newcomer, Claymore, Code Geass (divided in to two rebelions) , Trigun, Cowboy Bebop. If your finished with those I can give you a lot more.

(damn I already feel like I gave you to much, just try Naruto and One Piece If you want to spend some time, If not just pick some of the shorter ones.)
