Have fun playing this amazing game! Well, it's not as good as they say (overhyped, IMO), but the story is intriguing enough that you'll want to see the end of it. I found it rather disappointing.

its a bit tough near the beginning but once you get some nifty plasmids and weapons its easier

Meh. I went through the entire game without using a vita chamber, yet it didn't give me the achievement. Turns out I needed to go to options and turn OFF vita chambers, an option that wasn't even there.

I just spent 20 mins looking for the telekinesis plasmid after melting the ice just to realise I was in the funeral home and not the dentist!

eh? you dont have to turn them off...some people that went through on hard without dying before the content was released were able to just download it and then finish the last fight and get the achievement.
