You'd be suprised how many people fall into that section of addiction to mmorpgs.

Consider yourself lucky I guess, the thing about addiction is that you dont know your addicted until it's too late.

I have seen it plenty of times actually. The combination of social interaction and always having something to do with your online friends is a very powerful pull. This is an entirely mental addiction though. There is nothing calling you back to the game physically. Moderation is key to everything in life though. I won't listen to someone preach about how a game is evil and life consuming on a video game message board. It causes a level of cognitive dissonance that just causes me to black out and find a bunch of well reasoned text on the screen arguing against his irrational views.

I didn't even read your post.

Any validity your opinion might have carried went straight out the window the moment you made this EPIC quote:

"There is nothing more worthwhile that I could do when I play WoW."

You might as well just dig a hole, crawl into it and lie there until you die of dehydration...or you can retract that statement and go reclaim life.

If you have friends, go spend your time with them in RL instead.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Well you are welcome to have whatever ignorant or half informed opinion you want. If you ever decide to not just troll but actually read the responses people leave for you then you will understand what I mean. You have managed to twist it out of context to fit your own little world view where no one has the will power to stop playing a game. Fortunately I have more will power than that and do not let the game control my actions. I say again, when I play WoW there is nothing better for me to do because I play it when I am out of things to do. When you wrap your head around that concept you will understand why you are wrong.

You are never out of things to do, but if you play sparingly, I guess it doesn't hurt. It's just that you seemed to take a very defeatist attitude when you suggested that "you're too pitiful to go out to a bar" or something along those lines (your words, not mine).

If I was trying to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, I wouldn't be telling you to aspire to do better things with your life.

What kind of troll wishes you a better existence?
