Just a little list of things i'd like to see in the announced metal gear movie (in an ideal world) :P
1.) it be based on metal gear solid 1. after all, this is the game that put the title onto mainstream culture, it was made 10 years ago (just enough time to make a movie adaptation), will have the recognition of metal gear's massive fanbase, and actually boasts an incredible story.
2.) kojima himself directs the movie. no other than the boss himself. it will stay true to stealth action, unlike most hollywood flicks that are just massive firefights.
3.) a huge budget and a huge worldwide release.
3.) no bloody cgi, except when its absolutely necessary. i can only think of metal gear rex and the cyborg ninja as maybe cgi necessary, and so i'd rather that all the rest of the stuff be live action (think dark knight).
4.) hugh jackman is solid snake. no matter how you slice it, he just looks like him and has the resume of playing characters of the same caliber. his voice isn't far from hayter's either.
5.) johnny depp is liquid snake. he's british, he can be devilishly evil, and above all he can really act. liquid's got a lot of difficult to act emotions under him (and being mcdonell miller at the same time), so his role needs a real actor.

sniper wolf - charlize theron
revolver ocelot - clint eastwood! (lol if only he were a wee bit younger and more agile...)
decoy octopus/darpa chief - morgan freeman
vulcan raven - (some random huge guy from eastern europe) or if we gotta go hollywood, michael clarke duncan
psycho mantis - cillian murphy (he'll be awesome here!)
