Forums - Microsoft - Why are tales of vesperia expectations so high will they meet expectations?

Why are they releasing the game in others in 2009?

200k sales LTD for this game.

Real question. Why do you post things like that?

Because it's a joke account. The guy behind it is playing the part of an insane sony fanboy - all his posts will be slanted and will contain many sony-related memes. Just like his username, which is also meme-derived.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I think you could be right, this was by far one of the worst games i have ever seen, the demo on XBL was just really bad.  Now eternal Sonata had a great demo and the game looked great, and just look how bad that game sold.

This on the other hand if unforgivable fanboy jibberish. It's so far beyond where the average fanboy would go you should either be permabanned or made a mod for the sheer audacity of it.

How is not liking one odd looking cell shaded game "Fanboy gibberish".  When i liked another odd looking cell shaded looking game.  I just found Tales bad in comparsion to the Enternal Sonata demo.  I also found the CoD2 demo bad on XBL, but i better not say that, you might think its fanboy gibberish for some reason

Its bad if you not good enough to be able to beat the boss. Don't worry, I understand your situation. Your not one much for strategy or anything that actually challenges you then I presume.

@ZenfolderVGI: You sir are awesome.

infinite discovery will kill the sales of this tales game.

i dont expect the new tales to do well.

Can't blame anyone.  Even Namco aren't expecting the game to be hige(500K).

It should do about half of what Tales of Legendia did despite being a much better game.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

150k First week.

500k lifetime.

Eternal Sonata has only sold 260k worldwide LTD according to VGChartz data.

I do not see Tales of Vesperia selling more than 300k worldwide LTD.

Tales of Vesperia will need to be ported to the PS3 which has a bigger fanbase for frustratingly difficult JRPG's.

I can not believe Lost Odyssey has not been ported to the PS3. Lost Odyssey has sold well under 500k on the X360.

500k to 1 million sales is required for a X360 game to break even.

LO sold 770K WW so far. LO probably didn't cost that much to make since it uses Middleware so I wouldn't be suprised if it made a decent profit already. It will not get ported to PS3 no matter what because Microsoft published it.

EDIT:that under 500K number is just US sales. WW sales are more important
