It's not canned. Activision just isn't publishing it. That may, in the end, amount to the same thing, but I imagine that both Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend will find a publisher.

For the most part, V-A kept the games that had long-term franchise potential.

Notice I did not say quality ... but rather ones that appeal to a more sedate crowd.

And if you look at some of the games they plan to sell-off (and its not a cancellation), they have high upsides but high risk and could bring a high price.

Just remember, Ghostbusters is based on a movie that is nearly 25 years old -- and how many gamers were actually born when it came out. Brutal Legend is by Tim Schaffer -- that means quality but not necessarily mainstream appeal. Chronicles of Riddick is a sequel of a successful game but one based on a movie from a few years back. And 50 Cent .. the last one should have been the last one (or none one).
