If it leads to the hungry being fed through mode food being produced with less land, water and pesticides, if it means less risk of drought causing famine, then I am all for it. However, it should be clearly labelled, so that those who want to stay away from it can and the steps need to be taken to make sure the crops are contained and do not enter the natural ecosystem.

lol. He's referring to Genetically-modified foods. Many crops nowadays use a splice gene during the planting cycle, making them develop better resistence, and to grow .... "Better."

There are many pros to this, as this can influence product yield, lower need of pesticides, and gives us new combinations of food never before possible.

The other side to the arguement is that not enough reasearch has been done to confirm it's safety towards human's health in the future.

An example of GM foods would be potato chips. And a grapple. (mix of grapes and apples).

EDIT: I have no problem with it. But i do wish that my government (Canada) would educate us on which foods have been GM'd.

If they are safe, the hungry will be fed. If they aren't then those people would have died of starvation anyway.

By the way, we're already eating them.
