Forums - Gaming - top 3 videogame endings of all time

Ah yes No More Heroes ending was sweet

Around the Network

Hmmm....

Sim City

I don't like my games to end. :(

I'm going retro...

Super Mario 1 - Finally found the woman, I looked all over.

Super Metroid - Metroids aren't so bad after all.

Final Fantasy II SNES(IV)- A pioneer for cutscenes and endings that are too long.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

1. Kotor

2. Halo

3. Ocarina of Time

Well for me:

Okami - For my favorite big grand finale style ending with a lovely credit scroll I actually sat through that leads into your seal and the epilogue. Basically the biggest and prettiest bow I've seen to tie a game together.

Conker's Bad Fur Day - For a game that rolls from one crazy situation to another while deliberately avoiding any kind of real story arc or coherent plotline, it finishes with a shockingly dark ending that of kind cuts you.

No More Heroes - An insanely over the top tongue and cheek parody that naturally ends with an insanely over the top ending that lampoons other over the top endings that aren't doing it for comedic insanity.

Eternal Darkness (Final)
KotoR II
A combination of Zelda games.. OoT, MM and tWW (I've yet to play TP)

I wish there was a slightly longer ending cinematic on Bioshock.

Edit: Crap, Sonic Adventure II somewhere in there, I loved it. The end of that game including the boss fights and such is just epic. The music! The Biolizard is probably my favourite near end boss battle of my life with that ingame music.

1. Suikoden II (the good ending)
2. Portal
3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

And after that Shadow of the Colossus
