Forums - Microsoft - Xbox360 to offer free online experience for some games?

This is a good idea for Xbox360.  Just let people play online free for select games and eventually make XBL free for all.

There's no article at their supposed source. Fake.

^^but it's from MSN?!

But reader Draco, a Silver level gamer, says that he's been playing cross-platform multiplayer games for free since Wednesday night, which precedes the Live Weekend (which started at midnight Friday.)

We'll have to check back after the weekend ends. But bigger picture, could this — don't get your hopes up, but it's gotta be on everyone's mind — mean that Xbox Live may eventually convert to a free model for all multiplayer gaming too?

i hope it does because id doing everything on PSn that im doing on XBL

Except far less of said stuff on PSN.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

They're only allowing games that have cross-platform with PC to be free, so it's just 3 games.

Don't expect XBL Gold to be free anytime soon.

I would not be surprised if Live became free.

EMULATION is the past.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

I'm starting to think this was either an accident/bug or MS is starting to take PSN seriously

Sweet; I just ordered Lost Planet Colonies, too. Looks like I'm justified in not paying for that overpriced Gold membership.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
