Could be worse.  There was a decent movie under the surface of DH4.  The Underworld movies could have been better but were decent for what they were.  Wiseman is a studio stooge and that was probably the reason for the choice.  They will play it safe and make a generic movie.  It will be decent to bad.

 It will be an awful film. Len Wiseman made two shitty genre films and then fucked up the unfuckable- the die hard franchise. Add this to computer games movies being 99% poor and you have a gears movie that will blow hard

    Really the guy who does Bender is the voice of Marcus Fenix. Oh I've lost all face in the world. No longer can I say kiss my shiny metal ass because it just doesn't have the same effect anymore. Damn this world.

    Well aside from the notes on the Gears movie sounds like its shaping up well.

    To be honest the Gears2 trailer is one of the best trailers ever. "I have a rendezvous with death"

    It doesn't fit to the game very well but its still an awesome trailer. I have to say Microsoft makes the best trailers. Damn I just rewatched the Halo3 E3 2007 trailer. I need a 360.
