Forums - Gaming - Why is Blu Ray good and Xbox360 Live Gold bad?

Well, I think that it would be incorrect to say that Sony added Blu onto the PS3 for the PS3's benefit, quite to the contrary, it jacks up the price by $100-150, makes the processor way too oriented towards graphics, etc. But it did help Sony get some much needed market share for the Blu ray because sony knows that the market for both the PS3 and blu are in many cases the same, and it will help Sony to capure more profits in the end.

Around the Network

1. The addition of Blu-ray was critisized a lot, it has just died down since Blu-ray beat out HD DVD.

2. Nobody says Xbox Live is bad, people just think now that PSN is much closer to matching it, it shouldn't cost as much.

You know who claims blu-ray is a plus, and XBL a detriment? Sony fanboys, duh. I haven't seen this from anyone else.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
