I concur.

I asked around 10 members (who own GTA IV and Saints Row) what they prefer. All of them answered with Saints Row and some even on my wall. |
Thanks, I'll definately check it out. Yeah, I noticed a lot of the games I want are under 40 brand new, some even 20 at the Walmart near me... awesome prices!

I've never played a Burnout game, I just read about it recently. The concept of an open ended racer caught my attention (never plated something like that before).

Ah well then you should like it. Don't have the preemptive biases of a hardcore fan of the series haha.
It's a good setup I just didn't like the open world aspect. Kept getting lost and frustrated. But maybe that's more apt for some people in racers.

Yeah he is right.
In my opinion:
Saints Row > Crackdown = GTAIV.
Crackdown is sadly a game that you can finish in a day or two if it was a bit longer it would have been a lot better.

F.E.A.R. Files does NOT include the original game and is, from what I've heard, really not very good. Stick with the original release.

I never said Fear Files has the original game. I said FEAR is the original game and Fear Files is 2 expansions set after the original game.
And if you ENJOY FEAR, you should get Fear Files because it's expansions are just as enjoyable as the original game. Together they are longer than FEAR and there are more instant action maps on the game. The only reason the game got average reviews is that one of the expansions is a few years old (like FEAR was) and expansions are generally never rated high anyways because they are more of the same.

You need to relax there, buddy. I was just answering a simple question.

It was more of a response to iamfanboy but my original response about the two games was as clear as night regardless. I also would suggest for iamfanboy, since you're on a gaming site and assuming you know there are a ton of other review sites, that you could find all this information very easily in a matter of 5 minutes on any site like IGN, Gamespot etc...

Sorry dude, I was just asking a question.
| OZucas said: Not a bad list. But a note on Burnout Paradise... if your a huge fan of the series ya might not like that. Unless you liked the direction Revenge was taking the series then ya might like it. Me being a huge Burnout fan was not impressed with the direction of Revenge and subsequently the further changes in Paradise. Just a clarifcation from a huge fan of the series. Otherwise pretty good list. |
WOW!!!
Now, I'm impressed!!! As a huge fan of the ULTIMATE CATASTROPHIC RACER ,Burnout (Burnout 2 and of course TAKEDOWN are my favorite), I played Paradise for 6-7 hours. And that's it. The game is good. But I won't play it anymore. I just stick my Takwdown copy on my old XBOX and replayed it. Those who are fans of the true Burnout series (by the way, Revenge sucks a little, too), I think that they feel the same way
@konnichiwa
Wait. Are you comparing a funny GTA ripoff (ok, it was quite fun, I admit it), with GTAIV? Sorry buddy, but these are completely irrelevant games. I'm really sorry if you're one of the guys (they are many, I know) who played GTAIV THIS way. Sorry, you just missed the whole goddamn game
Saints Row should be compared to Crackdown. And Crackdown is FAR MORE FUN. One or two days to do what? Explore the Pacific City? (May I remind you the Vertical dimension of the game play?). Collect the Orbs? Beat the races? Leveling your character? Do the interesting achievements? Sorry dude, but there are over 30-35 hours in that game. Unless you love to pimp girls once more (I guess San Andreas hdn't enough of that stuff...). I can't understand why this is more fun than try to climb a skyscraper and then dive from 500m to a 3 square metres pool at the base of the building. I find the last one more entertaining.
@OP, man, take out the perfect dark zero and add Quake IV. No comparison.
And no ORNAGE BOX????
Unless you have it in another version, this game is a MUST MUST MUST HAVE!
