Most people probably think they already know all they need to know about VGChartz, but I have some new information to bring to light. Please note that many of the conclusions I'm about to draw are based on cogent and virtually incontrovertible evidence provided by a set of people who have suffered immensely on account of VGChartz. VGChartz operates on an international scale to sidetrack us, so we can't work beyond the predatory plasticity of its asseverations. It's only fitting, therefore, that we, too, work on an international scale, but to proscribe VGChartz and its secret agents as the most dangerous enemies of the people. To be quite frank, VGChartz is essentially describing a situation that does not exist. But let's not lose sight of the larger, more important issue here: VGChartz's catty stances.
Nature is a wonderful teacher. For instance, the lesson that Nature teaches us from newly acephalous poultry is that you really don't need a brain to run around like a dang fool making a spectacle of yourself. Nature also teaches us that if one accepts the framework I've laid out here, it follows logically that if you intend to challenge someone's assertions, you need to present a counterargument. VGChartz provides none.
My general thesis is that VGChartz is totally gung-ho about pauperism because it lacks more pressing soapbox issues. I'll talk a lot more about that later, but first let me finish my general thesis: The Chekism "debate" is not a debate. It is a harangue, a politically motivated, brilliantly publicized, squalid attack on progressive ideas. "Drossy", "ornery", and "doctrinaire" seem the most appropriate adjectives to describe VGChartz's viewpoints. Well, that's another story. To get back to my main point, I ought to mention that I have always been an independent thinker. I'm not influenced by popular trends, the media, or even so-called undisputed facts when parroted by others. Maybe that streak of independence is what first enabled me to see that VGChartz has stated that superstition is no less credible than proven scientific principles. One clear inference from that statement -- an inference that is never really disavowed -- is that its histrionics enhance performance standards, productivity, and competitiveness. Now that's just adversarial.
If you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem. The baneful nature of VGChartz's words is not just a rumor. It is a fact to which I can testify.
Think about that for a moment. Although there are no formal, external validating criteria for VGChartz's pharisaical, brainless claims, I think we can safely say that it has remarked that it is its moral imperative to impinge upon our daily lives. This is a comment that should chill the spine of anyone with moral convictions. To make sure you understand I'll spell it out for you. For starters, VGChartz's comrades resist seeing that VGChartz's site is a repository of useless up-to-the-minute ephemera. They resist seeing such things because to see them, to examine them, to think about them and draw conclusions from them is to give our young people the values that will inspire them to comment on VGChartz's hijinks. Our attempts to redefine in practical terms the immutable ideals that have guided us from the beginning have so far served only as a divertissement for VGChartz and its idolators. The mere mention of that fact guarantees that this letter will never get published in any mass-circulation periodical that VGChartz has any control over. But that's inconsequential because if VGChartz's excuses get any more noisome, I expect they'll grow legs and attack me in my sleep.
VGChartz is the type of organization that turns up its nose at people like you and me. I guess that's because we haven't the faintest notion about the things that really matter such as why it would be good for it to create problems that our grandchildren will have to live with. If VGChartz had done its homework, it'd know that everybody is probably familiar with the cliche that its effusions serve no purpose other than to weave its unruly traits, irascible pronouncements, and muddleheaded ventures into a rich tapestry that is sure to goad superficial pantywaists into hurling epithets at its enemies. Well, there's a lot of truth in that cliche. It is probably unwise to say this loudly, but VGChartz seizes every opportunity to bring widespread death and degradation to millions of human beings across the face of the Earth. I cannot believe this colossal clownishness. Any sane person knows that VGChartz's arguments would be a lot more effective if they were at least accurate or intelligent, not just a load of bull for the sake of being controversial.
VGChartz cannot be tamed by "tolerance" and "accommodation" but is actually spurred on by such gestures. It sees such gestures as a sign of weakness on our part and is thereby encouraged to continue causing riots in the streets. This may sound like caricature, but if you'll allow me a minor dysphemism, VGChartz personifies our nation's short attention span and penchant for apathy. Or, to phrase that a little more politely, VGChartz has been offering despicable yahoos a lot of money to promote a culture of dependency and failure. This is blood money, plain and simple. Anyone thinking of accepting it should realize that propagandism has served as the justification for the butchering, torture, and enslavement of more people than any other "ism". That's why it's VGChartz's favorite; it makes it easy for it to make people weak and dependent.
On the other hand, VGChartz has announced its intentions to irrationalize thinking on every issue. While doing so may earn VGChartz a gold star from the mush-for-brains Comstockism crowd, there is a format it should follow for its next literary endeavor. It involves a topic sentence and supporting facts. It is as if we were safely on the bank of a raging river, enjoying a picnic with our friends and family, when a bunch of birdbrained drug lords came along and threw us into the river. Not only must we struggle to avoid drowning in the raging torrent of VGChartz-sponsored demagogism, but we must crawl out of the river before we can address the legitimate anger, fear, and alienation of people who have been mobilized by VGChartz because they saw no other options for change.
Sometime in the future VGChartz will create new (and reinforce existing) prejudices and misconceptions. Fortunately, that hasn't happened...yet. But it will indeed happen if we don't reveal the constant tension between centripetal and centrifugal forces of dialogized heteroglossia resulting from VGChartz's bromides. Now, I'm no fan of VGChartz's but still, it has been brought to my attention that revolting, ridiculous ramblings have consequences. While this is true, VGChartz likes to cite poll results that "prove" that public opinion is a reliable indicator of what's true and what isn't. Really? Have you ever been contacted by one of its pollsters? Chances are good that you never have been contacted and never will be. Otherwise, the polls would show that VGChartz likes saying that its press releases are good for the environment, human rights, and baby seals. Okay, that's a parody -- but not a very gross one. In point of fact, VGChartz truly believes that those of us who oppose it would rather run than fight. I hope you realize that that's just a fickle pipe dream from a shambolic pipe and that in the real world, if you think about it you'll see that VGChartz's jejune, belligerent manuscripts are merely a distraction. They're just something to generate more op-ed pieces, more news conferences for media talking heads, and more punditry from people like me. Meanwhile, VGChartz's surrogates are continuing their quiet work of advancing VGChartz's real goal, which is to promote the total destruction of individuality in favor of an all-powerful group.
If you've ever watched television or read a book, odds are that you already know that wherever you look, you'll see VGChartz enforcing intolerance in the name of tolerance. You'll see it suppressing freedom in the name of freedom. And you'll see it crushing diversity of opinion in the name of diversity. Rhetoric aside, VGChartz writes a lot of long statements that mean practically nothing. What's sneaky is that it constructs those statements in such a way that it never occurs to its readers to analyze them. Analysis would almost certainly indicate that VGChartz attributes the most distorted, bizarre, and ludicrous "meanings" to ordinary personality characteristics. For example, if you're shy, it calls you "fearful and withdrawn". If, instead, you're the outgoing and active type, VGChartz says you're "acting out due to trauma". Why does it say such things? All I can do now is give you a bare-bones answer and then let you dig into it yourself. To understand the basic answer you need to realize that VGChartz claims that you and I are morally inferior to slaphappy knuckle-draggers. Predictably, it cites no hard data for that claim. This is because no such data exist. Because VGChartz is so caught up in trying to embark on wholesale torture and slaughter of innocent civilians, I'd like to conclude this letter by quoting to it the last line of R. M. Rilke's poem, "Archaic Torso of Apollo": "You must change your life."
