The entire story is quite bogus, as a simple bit of basic research would tell you.

Jump down to page 9, and you'll see the hard numbers. Nigeria produces about 25,000kg of the stuff a year, while Australia produces about 800,000kg of it and Canada about 226,000kg of it.
