Forums - Gaming - Banjo Nuts and Bolts Looks Really Bad...

What are you gonna ban him? You are the one going calling everyone who does not worship the 360 or its exclusive games Blind Sony Fanboys (which makes no sense, especially when you said you checked my game collection)

Also, I forgot to mention this, I really did not play the old ones that much, so it is not the change scarring me. I just think the game looks stupids. Thats it. Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts looks dumb, at least in mine and most of my friends eyes.

I didn't want to point out the potential scepticism with which this thread could be viewed due to you're console allegiences, but as you brought it up..........

I think you decided eventually to get a PS3 to accompany you're Wii correct?  Look when I got my 360 for PDZ, I had no idea Banjo 3 had been announced.  As an old-school Banjo fan (the only console I'd properly owned at that point was an N64), I was over the moon.  Now I realize I would have been PRETTY pissed if I hadn't got a 360 and had missed out on this game.

At the end of the day it is very much a platformer.  DKII who has seen this game running at E3 just agreed in this thread, as does just about every preview from E3.  You may be right when you say that much of the Xbox 360 fanbase will overlook this game, but I still think it will perform impressively.

Its new and fresh yes, but the unique humour, characters, worlds etc are all still there.  Even from the trailer posted in this thread we can see that much of the unique gameplay is still there as well, its just had more platforming elements using vehicles added.

Starcraft is not happy with this announcement. If Big John says it. It must be true.

i think the non-360 owners are just jealous cause not only do we get a new Banjo, the original is coming to the xbla .

If there was 1 game that could have made me buy a 360 it's this one. When it was accounced I thought that I would need to the console for it. However, seeing how the game looks pretty much destroy my interest. I have never touched Super Mario Sunshine or Windwaker and I won't touch this one. It's not that I'm against change, it's just that the change must please me. People get just look at the sales of the games I mentionned to see I wasn't the only one to think that way. Banjo is becoming different from what it used to be and is likely not to cater to its former fans.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I think Banjo will cater to old fans just fine.

Seriously, I cannot see the 360 demographic digging the "kiddy" look of Banjo... They will all buy Gears and Fallout and COD5...

This game will flop. That does not mean it wont sell a million, but for a franchise this big, and for the amount of money they have put into this game.... anything less than 2 million is a flop. Kinda a similiar situation as Ninja Gaiden. Big Franchise. Big Budget. Less than 2 million = FLOP

Now if it does recieve steller reviews I might sell around... 2.5 million, and to me, if this game sells that much that will be SHOCKING.

Remember- The largest part of the 360's userbase is testosterone charged 13-20 boy/ young men. That demographic likes things that look cool.

This game would have decent sales potentional on the Wii do to the kid appeal, and females(for some reason I could see girls liking this.. must be Kazooie...) and the fact the Wii has a platformer fanbase (because of SMG)

Yeah, these kind of games appeal only to tardcore. Should be on wii.

Remember: The largest part of wii's userbase is little 3-30y boys who haven't even hit their puberty yet. That demographic loves kiddy games.

Yeah wasn't Rock On banned till October?

I think the game will be fine. I would rathe Rare make the Banjo game they're passionate about than try to cash in and make an on-foot platformer they never wanted to make in the first place.
