shockingly you missed the fact the PC is the most casual gaming platform. The good part about Steam is it can be loaded anywhere so you can have audiosurf on a laptop and play it with your family in another room or just gather around your desktop and take turns.

I agree on the bolded point, but your second statement is rather humorous.

I enjoy going onto 2flashgames.com and playing a lot of those crappy flash games whenever I am incedibly bored.  And Spore is going to be the king of pc gaming for quite a while and it is suited for casual play.  Probably Sims like domination.

Shockingly, I wasn't talking about the PC being causal or not. I was merely asking a question about the game you were talking about. Audiosurf uses similar elements, but I really don't see that game being a casual, family-based game (and there should be a difference there. The PC might be casual, but I have NEVER EVER seen my family, or any family ever give a rats behind about joining around a PC to play any game. Ever.)

your family might, but I have Pocket Tanks installed on all my house's computers because its entertaining to play the game after dinner and randomly throughout the day.

SSJ12 derailing a thread and comparing AudioSurf to Lips. Priceless. All FPSs are Wolfenstein rip offs confirmed... and therefore crap.

OT: From someone who actually played SingStar, and enjoys it, I'm actually looking forward to this game... *IF* they do it right. Given that PC software is capable of removing the voice from songs by removing a certain Hertz range, I'd imagine that the software could do the reverse, capture just the Hertz range of the singing, and analyze the pitch of which you need to match. This is what I'm expecting when importing your own songs. If that's not the case, then it's nothing special.

Dude, I love how you back a game that is supposed to be a party game WITH people that ARE next to you, but hey, if your idea of friends online is > in person, then yes, you're right, AudioSurf owns Lips.

P.S. I also love the fact that its a computer game, cuz we know how most people have that in a living room environment where you fit lots of people!
