I actually don't think it's much of an improvement over Killzone 2 or Resistance 2... I mean, graphics wise, it can definitely be done and has already been done on the PS3, it's just the power of the PS3 that is questionable in regards to being able to handle so many variables at a time.
The whole shooter concept is not my thing... I'm would probably more hyped about LBP or Fat princess if I had a PS3.
I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!
Oh... and the whole bandwidth thing. In WoW, when there are like 45 or so people who people who camp out in one place, it already starts to lag. I think that is the only real concern people should be having. It can be done but it is only a matter of "MONEY".
Sony will need to get several dedicated servers with an OC-3 connections and how they are going to afford it will be in two ways:
1. They make everyone pay a monthy subscription fee of $10 to play MAG. It should be in line to pay the cost for the infrastructure.
2. Sony pays for it fully and make it free for everyone to use and pushes forward the game making it a MASSIVE incentive to people to get a PS3. I mean, if Sony does that... I know many people who would buy a PS3 tomorrow... I don't know if Sony can afford it though... because it would mean losing about $100 every year for everyone playing MAG.
Sony could give 1 year subscription to MAG free for every PS3 sold but I'm not sure it would have the same effect...

==> "dont look so well"
well, if there are 256 people playing in the same time they look VERY GOOD
Time to Work !
Looks good, but the pic is small.
Definitelly going to be interesting if they can achieve 256 players at the same time. Monthly fee would not be good, pay for DLC is better in my opinion (see warhawk).
They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts
Look's alright i guess, im surprised that Zipper is developing MAG, i was hoping they would make a new Socom.

This has nothing to do with lag or the power of the PS3. It's just that you can't handle 256 Player at the same time. Have you ever played CounterStrike on a 16-people public-server? That is not coordinated. 250 people will be chaotic.
serious question: Can you "open" a server on the ps3 or do u have to play on dedicated servers? Is there a way to play a clan-match or just a privat game with some friends or do u have to play on a dedicated server with some random players?
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
I imagine the maps will be enormous and since you are in squads the action will be spread out. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
