See the biggest reason I bought a PS3...

This is officially my most anticipated console game.  It's still behind 3 PC games, but yeah, you are looking at the main reason I bought a PS3 right here.  It looks incredible.  I hope you can use the music on your PS3 to create custom soundtracks for your levels.  That would be the icing on the cake.

They already said that LBP doesn't allow custom soundtracks. Sorry!

The game is exactly what I thought it would be: a development tool for creating small (but fun) platform levels (or game, if you put them all together).

and wut was their reason for no custom soundtrack???!?!? its kind of a letdown

believe it will be because the in game music is supposed to be really great and catchy, and the devs don't want custom soundtracks (death-metal) ruining their game.
(at least upon initial release anyways)

Video was great. Cool to hear that LBP is a "system seller" in a sense, for you.

The reasoning behind not being able to put your own music into the levels is that it is technically sharing copyrighted works. (peer to peer sharing of music)

I don't think that they have said wether you could play your own music in levels locally or not.

Any chance of a LBP for PSP? I have one of those.

I have seen it in three threads so far today.  Its just that good.

Well you can do that no matter what.  Just play it on XMB.  Turn down music and keep the sound effects up in the game options, just like you can do with any PS3 game now.
