Forums - Gaming - Could the Newton be a Wiimote?

According to Go Nintendo, Microsoft would like to talk to Nintendo about using the Wii Remote in its games.

John Schappert (Microsoft) supposedly wants a meeting. Reggie Fils-Aime (Nintendo) responds that Nintendo is about making people smile.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Nintendo wii not sell their technology to anyone. Not even if we lived in Kirby's Dreamland.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

On the one hand, it sounds like the beginning of MS's "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish" mantra.

On the other hand, if Nintendo can try to pull free revenue off sales of any X360 game that implements the support...

Hang on? Nintendo's response to MS was "Nintendo is about making people smile".... That's both funny and a funny response.

Sure Nintendo will. And they'll license out Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, etc...to them at the same time.
