Bad comparison sir. Why not look at the past 12 months? For games over 80%:

Wii: 12 (No WiiWare games made the list. Lost Winds at 79%)

PS3: 32 (Includes PSN games. Orange Box + Portal = 1 Game)

Xbox 360: 34 (Includes XBLA games. Orange Box + Portal = 1 Game)

PC: 28 (Includes 5 Sam & Max Episodes, Portal, Orange Box, and any Expansion)

You were saying about the PC being a better gaming platorm, again?

 

God please let's not get into moronic gamerankings arguments of subjective quality.  I despise Oblivion and it's in the 90% range on both PC and consoles, and I hate GTAIV even more and it's the "highest rated game of all time."  Quality is almost completely subjective.  I'd much rather play any episode of Sam & Max than pick up GTAIV again.

Naz? That's some pretty iffy proof. Some 360s can't play 1/2 of Burnout Paradise? The other half still works. That's quite a bit different than thousands of variations of PCs being able to play many different variations of titles or not play them.

I've got a couple more.

So why not have just used those examples in the first place? The Burnout Paradise one is a shallow argument. Those two at least make a valid point against jenny's statement. It's still a far cry from a PC environment where there are variations up the wazoo that will determine whether or not a game can be played, but I agree...PATA-PWNED!

What be funny is if mass effect did come out first for the 360 then a few months later for the pc because it would have been exclusive(for a few months) then and all this argument be for nothing lol.

It's already been announced for PC as well... at best you could call it a timed exclusive right now, and even that you can't do till we get actual release dates for both 360 and PC.

First, never use gamerankings because it doesn't have as much reviews as Metacritic, so many games with less than 20 reviews get 'axed'. Since PC is the most undertracked of all, PC games like Grid, TrackMania Nations Forever and Aquaria weren't even counted. If you removed the the 'review limit' you would get almost 70 PC games (but that site sometimes tracks educational games, etc...) and only 38 X360 games, on gamerankings.

But looking at the full generation and the 80% rated games released, we get:

PC: 113

Xbox 360: 93

PS3: 59

Wii: 29

Now remove the doubled and tripled entries of the consoles versions of some games(not fair that GH3 is being counted 3 times) and you get a much lower number of consoles games over 80%.

Thats my point we know its coming to the pc so when they said exclusive its not to hard to think what they ment
a) timed
b) console
i really dont see what all the fuss is about. Dev have been saying this stuff for ages. We all know that usually devs even if its a timed exclusive will talk about as a exclusive.
The main reason I posted this was mainly due to the fact that it looks like mass effect 2 will be here in 2009. Many people think that ms dont have many games in the pipline due to the fact that they dont advertise games way in advance when infact there are many out there. 2009 we will see many 360 exclusives coming(console exclusive lol) Halo wars,chronicals, bungies project halo, splinter cell, mass effect, cry on, star otion(timed I think) and more. I am a huge fan of mass effect(dont have gaming pc) and this for me was great news this is the reason I posted. Lol I didnt expect such a responce though.
