I have had both and both have a lot of good games. The PSP is a great multimedia device and comes internet capable. Of the genres I care for PSP really is much better in racing than the DS in my opinion. I love Wipeout on the PSP but find Mario Kart just okay on the DS.

Screen is so much bigger and so much more beautiful.

The PSP is a phenomenal media device. I use it as my MP3 player and portable video player.

Sony's first party PSP offerings are better than Nintendo's first party DS offering (my opinion of course, but I'd rather not play Pokemon or ports of N64 games).

More stylish.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. PSP = style, music, movies, and games.

DS= some games

If you want a game player, it is 50/50, I like both, but if you want more than a game player, psp is the clear and obvious victor.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Do you like the Wii, 360, or PS3 games the best?

If your order is:

360:PS3:Wii (and my guess is that would be it), go with the PSP, as it's going to have the games you like more on it.

If the Wii is the console you like the most, go with the DS.

It's not about the console, it's about what you want to play on it.

The PSP has a superior selection of games in my opinion. Original titles like Crush, Patapon, Loco Roco, Jeanne d'Arc, Chili Con Carnage and Dead Head Fred provide unique experiences not available elsewhere. Also, there are great sequels to Metal Gear Solid, Syphon Filter, Grand Theft Auto, God of War, Castlevania and Daxter. Coupled with its multi-media capabilities I'd say that the PSP is my favorite handheld ever, and I'm not exactly new to gaming.

The only ports of N64 games are Super Mario 64 DS and Ridge Racer DS. After the exclusion of the Pokemon games that still leaves more than 20 first party titles (excluding all the Training games as well).

Diddy Kong Racing or Mario Kart much?

Don't get me wrong, there are some good ones out there like the New Super Mario Brothers, Nintendogs (they are good games, but not for most people on this site), Advance Wars, or Elite Beat Agents, but I still find Sony's first party stuff to be better.

Multimedia. Videos, Music, Games and Internet all in one package, if you get the Slim its also a make shift phone with Skype.

If you go the less than legal route and hack it you then have emulation power over Every gaming system before the PS2 era.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"
