I predict that the PS3 will sell 10m consoles a year on average between 2007-2017, in 2007 the PS3 sold 10m copies in-line with my prediction, this year the PS3 should easily sell 10m again and assuming more new AAA games and a price cut come in 2009, it should sell more than 10m copies, therefore by 2017 i predict the PS3 will sell 100m units, like the PS1 and PS2 did.

Unless Sony plans on having the PS3 as their 8th generation console, what numbers it gets in fricking 2017 will be completly irrelevant.

Uhm, no.
PS3 is not going to have a 10 year life span as Sony's lead console. Sure, it'll probably do 10m or more per year for the next 2, 3, 4 years, but Sonywill eventually introduce the PS4, and that will kill PS3 sales.
