Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 sells 20 million!

It would seem that both the Wii and Xbox 360 have their supply issues sorted out - The Wii has enough (generally) to meet breakneck demand, and the X360 isn't stuffing the channel ala Q4 2006.

It's nice to see that Xbox 360 shipments to retailers were up over 1m units this past year - always a good thing. With shipments that high, we should see roughly 16 million Xbox 360's sold in the next 2 years, bringing the total to 36m by 2010.

will that be that then for 360 maybe new console.

Awesome. History has shown that the second console to reach 20 million generally wins!

Whats really awesome, all jokes aside is that this gen will be the first gen where all 3 consoles will be viable. As all 3 have significant 3rd party support. My how games have grown as a business.

I don't know, one of the three hasn't even come close to 3rd place last gen...  I think it will come close, maybe pass, but third place usually tails off pretty bad towards 3-5 year, especially when the other consoles are cheaper.

All three consoles were viable last gen, it was MS's mistake to stop making Xbox1's so early and miss years of budget buyers.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
