play a game, beat it, delete the data. IS it that hard? I doubt that half those games people play more then twice minus the ones with online. BTW, I have an 80GB HDD and have half my space still.

AC had an install?
VF5?
I've never heard that before in my life.
I had no idea Resistance needed an install.
| Squilliam said: @ Lone - I accidently unscrewed it when I was taking my HDD out for cleaning (didn't see the pull tab lol) so maybe its variable, depends on luck? Just use the right sized screw driver, the heads are pretty strong from their looks, I heard a trick not sure if it'll work that you either put the drive in a warm place or a cool place (NO CONDENSATION PLZ) I think it was warm place - like 45 degrees C or 110/120F (well within operating specs) and it should cause the metal to expand and make removal easier. |
Yeah...I figured something like that. It's kind of hard to find a cold place without condensation though, lol. Hmm...I live in Arkansas...and it's the summer...and I have a garage. Maybe that will work?

you can exchange for a 250gb and still got warranty, not a problem.
ask wii users how they are with SD cards ;)
Not for me, glad they made it an option to delete the installs, that would of been a problem on my 40 gig. Had a rescent scare ever since the video store came out, 85$ worth of media left me with 465 megabytes left. I just sacrificed my DMC4 and MGS4, the only two games that take the most out of my games. I'll install later, MGO needs attention and my movie craze has calmed down. Btw i averaged all of the games installs ( excluding Warhawk w/o boosters ) and it was just 2.4 gigs. And all those games are most that require an install, i recall The Darkness and Call of Duty 3 ( although there were online patches ) didn't need an install. So yea, 2.4 gigs Average, thats not much of a deal unless you have alot of downloaded movies ( can easily be 2 gigs each, SD, HD bigger ) unless you own a 20 or a 40, but 20's are almost nonexistent, and the 40 going to be a new 80. But the interesting question is, why the onslaught of flamebait posts squilliam? Guess it will never end, since your controversial MGS4 review...
You can uninstall the games but keep your save files so it doesn't seem much of a problem to me.
just replace the harddrive.. pretty simple... cept for those freakin screws.. i can't get em off XD.. i have a 320 gig waiting to go in my 60 gig tho... Just need a powerdrill with the right screw.

Ah, good to know I wasn't the only one that had a problem with the screws. I cut my thumb trying to get one of the screws off. :/ I ended up using pliers to twist the remaining 4 out after taking the HDD out.

Is it such a problem? You can add a bigger HDD if you need more space.
