fallout I forgot fallout damn it lol

I haven't played enough WRPGs to have a solid feel for the market. I did play Baldur's Gate 2, I liked it. I broke it shortly after starting though... I downloaded special items and used them all the time... >.
I also played a small bit of Never Winter Nights, I liked it too. But I didn't get too far because I can't stand the sight of spiders, so I stopped playing to avoid them. The same actually goes for BG2...
I like and have nearly beaten KOTOR. That would probably be my favorite of this subgenre, mostly due to its most recent influence on me. I can't say which is the best, only what I know. I like these games, but don't know where they fall for me.
Fallout 1 and 2
Arcanum (this is a damn good game, definitely one of my all time favourites that noone else ever mentions)
Vampire Bloodlines ( A really good game, especially now when there is a real bug fix) Planescape Torment (Well, this is hard core roleplaying)
Morrowind (Background and story is really cool but the feeling of PROGRESSION is missing)
I've actually never played any of the BG games for more than a few minutes, my computer was way to slow to handle it back then.

That's because up until this post, I believed I was the only member on this entire website that had played it.
If you look at my above post, you'll see I even mentioned Troika (the ones who made it).
best WRPG is by far Bioware. and best WRPG is KOTOR

Arcannum was really great, like Planescape: Torment. It is a crime that these games aren't known to the mainstream. That said if we can cheat and put Deus Ex on the list then I'd probably go with that. I think I got just a smidgen more enjoyment out of Deus Ex than the others.

Holy cow. I forgot about Ultima Underworld 1.
UU >>>> Fallout (my previous claim as the king) > BG1 > etc.
Does System Shock qualify as a WRPG?

The main theme in Arcanum is so nice! The setting is majestic!
And now - as everytime when Bethesta and Fallout are mentioned in the same thread - we have the chance to deplore the fact that Bethesta will destroy... bohoo please, Tim Cain come back we will start a support fund for you if you come back! And Leo, stop working on silly Blizzard games :P
