well skip...i can tell you that most of your prices are a good deal lower than any grocery store near me. and that the unhealthy food, is a lot cheaper than the healthier food around here.

This is where social programs like welfare can really go wrong.

Now that tax money supports these people it seems logical that we should get to decide what they eat..right? So then, what decisions should we make for them next?

I'm almost completely against these programs for this reason. with how horribly inefficient the US government is with money it would seem almost obvious that we should let them handle as little of it as possible. The least we can do is remove the government from the operational process and replace them with NPOs, then let each person choose which NPO gets to utilize their portion of the cash and let the NPOs compete for each person's portion based on efficiency.
