Forums - Gaming - Ogre Battle 64ish games out there?

Hey guys :D

So, I was replaying Ogre Battle 64 for my 5th  time, and i LOVE this game.  I'm pretty sure it's because of the character development, players mainly start with soldiers in their army, as they get experience they become footmen, and from there you can give them jobs/classes like knights, dark knights, paladins, phalanx, mages, ninjas, and so on, depending on their aligment.  The game also had beasts like dragons, golems, and other creatures that you could get in your ranks that evolved pokemonish-style.  The game also had 3 endings..different endings are kewl 8)

So yeah, i was wondering if any of you guys knew of any kind of similiar games out there and could help me out :D

Thanks b4hand ^^

Ogre Battle SNES/PS1.

That's about it.

Soul Nomad and the World Eaters is kinda close... closest thing to it to any other game i've seen in anycase.

Tactics Ogre for the SNES/PS1 and Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis for the GBA both have the same job system there abouts but play like regular SRPGs.

Thanks Kasz :D I'll look those up!

I want Ogre Battle Wii. :(

I loved the N64 one.. did not played the other ones yet

Ogre Battle is my ALL-TIME favorite series.

You should play the series in this order: Ogre Battle, Tactic Ogre then Ogre Battle 64.

All the stories connect to each other and you see some charters appearing in the other game.

Yep mine too, it's a shame Square had to kill it by buying Quest.

Well that's because it's a complex political plot game.

Those guys that help you in Ogre Battle 64 from the other nation are characterse from Ogre Battle for the SNES.

The same thing happens in Tactics Ogre.  People from Ogre Battle SNES are in it to "help".

While Knight of Lodis is a prequel.

The sad thing about this is, the PS1 version of Ogre Battle is around $50 and Tactic Ogre is about $90 to $100.
